Galeria Monarca's Mission...

"Galeria Monarca is an emerging community-based arts and cultural space

We believe in the power of human imagination and culture and recognize that large portions of our community have been, and currently are underrepresented within Sonoma County’s creative and cultural institutions.  We imagine a Sonoma County where human dignity and imagination are cultivated and celebrated.

Where creative people of all generations and backgrounds can come together cross-pollinating each other and enriching the community at large.

Like the Monarch butterfly we listen to the wisdom of those before us while trusting each new generation to find its way.  Our mission is to elevate and celebrate the voices and perspectives of those underrepresented and marginalized groups, and create and hold space for creativity of all shapes and sizes. We will achieve this through curating art shows, hosting community events and offering affordable recording services to young musicians.

Making your way as a creative of any type is difficult. We aim to help those who need it most.Paired with all our art and events will be a rotating cast of curated indoor plants and floral arrangements, helping us to breathe life into the space and (they for sale) pay the bills."
